8 ways to jump on the rice pudding bandwagon

We're talking rice pudding. Despite its somewhat understated status, we suspect rice pudding could be the next big thing... again? Did it ever really leave? It's certainly getting a turn in the spotlight right now. Want to join in? Here are 8 ways to 'whet' your rice and your appetites.

There's a rice pudding boom! People are getting rice-happy with their pudding and they aren't afraid to share it.

The UK is all over it...
The US, too has already been concocting some serious rice pudding madness - think , and a rice pudding burrito. (Whoa!)
Oz is getting creative and also having a play...
With  looking so delectable,  it's officially rice-pudding-o'clock! For breakfast, lunch, dinner and even the elusive midnight munch, we're jumping on this rice-y comeback tour with some of our favourite recipes. 


 

For those wanting a vibrant and playful pudding, these should do the trick...
Horchata! It certainly looks the part and that's because it is. Soak your rice, blend with spice and serve over ice, horchata!

Not what you would normally expect when you think 'rice pudding,' but this is French baker 's take on the classic, combining caramel and orange - that means rich and zesty!

For when you need a sweet brekkie hit, gives us a typically Filipino-style breakfast bowl that uses cocoa AND dark chocolate. Don't forget to drizzle that condensed milk and have your spoons at the ready!

This Asian-style pud is all about texture and spice and is such a refreshing way to top up your rice.  gives us this dairy-free and gluten-free flavour sensation with lemongrass curd, lychee and a pop of chilli to serve.

Our , O Tama Carey got colourful with rhubarb and created this Italian-style rice; with sweet additions of marsala and vanilla bean, this pudding pops.
