All of your childhood memories were whipped into cake creations over the weekend.
On Saturday Canberra had a cake-off with all of the 107 cakes from the famous Australian Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book.
The cakes were on display at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra at an event held to raise money for a not-for-profit organisation called . The organisation provides support for people with post-natal and ante-natal depression and anxiety and the sale raised $10, 000.
The famous Australian Women's Weekly cookbook has been around since 1980 and has been the centrepiece of many kids birthday parties since then. PANDSI president Christine Spicer tells SBS that using a cake sale with something so popular was a great fundraising initiative.
She says fundraising is vital because while the organisation does get government funding, the high demand for their services mean they need to raise more money. The Canberra organisation supports more than 250 families who are dealing with perinatal and post-natal depression and anxiety.
"We had to think of a creative way about how to do fundraising," she says.Initially they set up a team of five and called themselves the 'PANDSI cake-off crew', but they had 107 cakes to bake so needed more help.

"We put a call out to Canberra to see if people would help us, and within 40 minutes every cake had been snapped up," Spicer says. They also approached 10 of Canberra's best bakers to make their own version of one of the cakes.
One baker made The Woman in the Shoe cake and raised $650. Another baker made the Minnie Mouse cake, which was bought and taken to the kids hospital so they could have it for Mother's Day.
Spicer says they may have another cake-off event in the future after learning a lot from this first one. She says many local businesses were very willing to help out and that's why it was such a success.
If you want to help PANDSI they have a to raise funds for their organisation. Follow their cake making journey on their too.
