You read correctly – Vegemite icy poles are a thing that exist in 2017.
Understandably, this has caused some contention, both on the Internet and in real life. There are the people who think the yeast-based, tar-coloured spread doesn’t belong anywhere other than on bread, with an appropriate amount of butter or cheese to take the edge off (everyone knows it’s all about the ratio). Some Twitter users consider icy poles, aka ice blocks or popsicles, an adored ‘scorcher’ antidote, to be similarly off limits: fruit-based flavours only, thanks.

It's obviously not the first time Vegemite has generated debate - in fact, it hardly seems any time since we they launched the contentious "bolder" .
