Did you know that if you mix a bag of muesli with some sweetened condensed milk, then bake it into a slab it’ll set like a muesli bar? Well, now you do.
If you’re looking for a refined sugar-free or dairy-free recipe, I apologise in advance. There are other options out there like using dried apricots or dates as a binding agent but today we’re all about taking the express route.
You can add all sorts of things into the mix like coconut, dried fruit, nuts, flavours like rosewater or sweet/warm spices like cardamom. Some cocoa powder wouldn’t hurt if you’re a fan of chocolate. How to make two-ingredient muesli bars

Take 3 cups of your favourite muesli and 1x395 g can of sweetened condensed milk. Add the muesli to a large bowl and then add about ¾ of the condensed milk.
Mix to combine and add more condensed milk and/or muesli if needed, you just want the muesli to be evenly coated in a light layer of condensed milk but not sludgy.
Spread out onto a lined baking tray to about 1cm thickness and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes, or until golden.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before moving (otherwise they’ll fall apart).
Once cool, cut off the edges then cut into rectangles. Store in an airtight container in the cupboard for about a week.
You should end up with around 12-18 bars depending on how large you cut them.Love the story? Follow the author here: Instagram .
