Carmen Lazar from the Assyrian Resource Centre talks to SBS Assyrian about the federal government's initiative to allow Ukranians to visit Australia on temporary visas. Mrs Lazar explains the procedure and how people can apply online without going through the United Nations. But she said people who came to Australia had to pay for their own flights. She also mentioned the Australian government was considering ways of offering other assistance to the refugees once they arrived in Australia.
