Jozef Marakha, who migrated from Syria to Australia, said that upon arrival to Australia, he had many challenges. A different country, people and language, and life in general was different. We had to start from nothing, despite the feeling of resilience with this country.
Mr. Marakha added that he found work through his friends who arrived in Australia before him. It took Jozeph time to learn to communicate with others at work.
He stressed that it is not easy for young people to find a suitable job, but research and diligence must be made. The difficulty lies in the lack of language and may be exploitation by employers, but he says I have not encountered great difficulties at my work.
Regarding youth going to work, he said I have friends who work hard and are happy with their work, adding that other friends are studying dentistry and a friend studies pharmacy, and this is good.
Jozef said that he works in two companies but divides his time between work and communication with family, acquaintances, and friends.
