NSW's iVote

At next month's New South Wales state election half a million people are expected to skip the queues and miss the sausage sizzle and vote online instead. But cyber security experts have raised concerns about the security of the online voting system.

In the age of cyber attacks and election meddling  the New South Wales electoral commission is about to embark on the country's largest online voting project.

At the last New South Wales state election more than a quarter of a million people voted online.

That number is expected to rise to half a million people this election.

To be eligible for iVote you must have poor vision, have a disability, live more than 20 kms from a polling booth, or be interstate or overseas on election day.
