T20 World Cup CEO expects spectacular events with diverse Australian crowd

T20 World Cup 2020 for both women and men are going to be held in across Australia in February-March and October-November respectively. Australian diverse crowd is warming up for these major cricket tournaments. The T20 World Cup CEO Nick Hockley speaks to SBS Bangla with some highlights of these events.


Mr. Nick Hockley says, both the men and women World Cup are happening in 2020 but in different times. 

"A major event is all about to bringing people together; and Australia has a fantastic international reputation in hosting big events like Sydney Olympic, Melbourne Commonwealth Games as well as Cricket World Cup 2015."

"We have many spectacular cricket venues right across the country for these major events."

Addressing the diverse expat crowd from different communities Mr. Nick says, when countries like Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and England play here, players can expect pretty much home crowd in any games. 

"So, it's a very very exciting proposition". 

Regarding Bangladesh teams and their venues T20 World Cup CEO informs the SBS Bangla that Bangladesh men team has automatically qualified for the tournament scheduled to be held in October-November, while women team also just recently qualified and confirmed their participation in the tournament to be held in February-March in all over Australia.
