New Australian visa with pathway to permanent residency

Australian government has introduced a new special visa that allows employers in designated areas to sponsor skilled workers from overseas.

The new visa is designed to attract migrants to regional areas such as Northern Territory and Warrnambool in Victoria.

Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs David Coleman announced on Monday that workers will have the opportunity to become permanent residents under the new visa.
