COVID-19 update: In NSW, Lismore and Albury go into lockdown from 6pm today

New South Wales
NSW has recorded 1,351 new locally acquired cases and 12 deaths. Out of 12 people who have died, 10 were not vaccinated. 

From 6pm today, Lismore and Albury are going into a seven-day lockdown after testing showed a rise in cases. 

From 1 pm today, lockdown is lifted for Bega Valley, Blayney, Bogan, Cabonne, Dungog, Forbes, Muswellbrook, Narrabri, Parkes, Singleton Snowy Monaro and Upper Hunter Shire.

Victoria
Victoria has recorded 514 new locally acquired cases bringing the total number of active cases to 4,370.

As Victoria will reach 70 per cent first-dose target today, in Greater Melbourne and regional Victoria from midnight on Friday, 17 September.

Fully vaccinated residents will be allowed to gather outdoor in groups of five, while those with no vaccine or one dose will be limited to groups of two. Also, the radius for shopping and exercise will be increase from 5 to 10 kilometres.

Australian Capital Territory
The territory has recorded 15 new locally acquired cases with at least eight in the community while infectious. 

The Commonwealth and the ACT Governments have expanded the COVID-19 Business Support Grants and agreed to an additional COVID-19 Tourism, Accommodation Provider, Arts, Events and Hospitality Grant. Businesses can find further information and apply for the grants
