Highlights

  • The Australian Government’s booster vaccination rollout program officially gets underway today for those over the age of 18 and over who have completed their two-dose course of vaccination at least six months ago.

  • A $44 million package has been unveiled to revitalise Melbourne's CBD including a $5 million midweek dining rebate scheme.

  • Today also marks the start of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine being administered by community pharmacies. 
  • Restrictions will be eased further for vaccinated people in NSW from today including no limits on the number of people allowed in homes or at outdoor gatherings.

  • The Victorian Government is rolling out free, at-home rapid antigen tests for schools.

  • Victoria has recorded 1,126 new local cases and five deaths in the past 24 hours
  • NSW has recorded 187 new cases and seven deaths
