New South Wales

NSW has recorded 1,281 new locally acquired cases, with 831 in Sydney's west and south west. Five people have died.

Premier Berejiklian says the modelling shows hospitalisations will peak after the state records 70 per cent vaccinations, but it will not impact the easing of restrictions. There are currently 177 COVID patients in intensive care, 67 of whom require ventilation.

Victoria

Victoria has recorded 246 new locally acquired cases, with 121 linked to known outbreaks.

Housing Minister Richard Wynne has announced

a new program

for renters paying more than 30 per cent of income in rent, and landlords who have lost 20 per cent or more of their income in rent.

The ACT has recorded 11 new locally acquired cases, with at least seven in the community while infections.

341 general practitioners
are administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, with another 642 joining the program over the next few weeks.
Almost 500,000 Pfizer doses secured under a vaccine swap deal with the UK arrived in Sydney on Sunday, 5 September.
