New South Wales
NSW has recorded 1,431 new locally acquired cases, and 12 deaths as Premier Berejiklian warns the state's Delta crisis is still likely to deepen in the coming weeks.
There are now 979 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, including 160 in intensive care and 63 on ventilators. Health authorities are anticipating cases would rise in the next fortnight.
Victoria
Victoria has recorded 208 new locally acquired cases, with 96 linked to known outbreaks. One man in his 60s died.
Premier Andrews says the priority vaccine program for Year 12 students will start next Tuesday 7 September, while 12-year-olds will become the next cohort prioritised for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The ACT has recorded 18 new locally acquired cases, with 15 in the community while infections.
