COVID-19 Update: People urged to book their booster vaccine

Vaccine Roll Out

  • NSW Chief Medical Officer Dr Kerry Chant urges those who are 18 years or over and have received their second COVID-19 vaccine six months ago, to get their booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
  • Dr Chant says even those who had Astra Zeneca as the primary vaccine six months ago, they now need a Pfizer booster.
  • Western Australia is no longer the least vaccinated jurisdiction in the country - the Northern Territory is, with just 63.9 per cent of the population fully vaccinated.

Temporary visa holders

  • calling on the government to allow temporary visa holders to leave and re-enter the country has gained over 40,000 signatures. 

COVID-19 Statistics

  • Victoria has recorded 941 new cases of COVID-19 and eight deaths.  
  • New South Wales has recorded 190 new cases and four deaths.
