South Australia (SA) has revoked the Major Emergency Declaration COVID-19 after 793 days. It means the state can no longer impose new restrictions but ease current.
SA will relax mandatory face mask requirements for secondary school students next week.
"Masks will only be required at a school in circumstances where one class reports 10 or more cases over seven days or one school has five classes with five cases or more over seven days," the state government said.
Australians now have an option to book their COVID-19 vaccine through a text message.
They need to type 'Hey EVA' and send it to 0481611382. They will receive a call back from a trained agent to book their appointment. The EVA team operates seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm (AEST).
The Australian Capital Territory informed that most COVID-19 testing centres will remain open on Reconciliation Day (Monday, 30 May 2022).
WA is keen on striking an agreement with the newly-elected Labor government to fast-track citizenship for overseas nurses if they are willing to relocate.
The moves come amidst the growing number of COVID-19 cases and shortages of frontline health workers in the state.
