A Filipina international student died last 25 November after being hit by two cars at the intersection of Hallenstein Street and Hopkins Street in Footscray, an inner-city suburb in Melbourne.
The collision happened at 10 pm. The paramedics tried to revive the victim but died at the scene.
9News reports that the incident in the western suburb is under investigation as of 26 November.
The drivers of both cars were unscathed and remained at the scene of the collision to assist the police examinations. Victoria Police are asking for witnesses or people with dashcam footage to provide any material to help the case.
The victim is Frances Jeyann Ramirez, a native of Lamut, Ifugao who was supposed to finish her studies in 2024.

In remembering Ramirez she said, "She was a very funny woman. She smiles a lot. Even if you met her for the first time, you will get away with her personality. It’s not hard to be friends with Frances.
She’s very thoughtful, understanding, and a kind friend. You can count on her even during your toughest times. And what we loved about Frances is that all your secrets are safe with her."

Villaflores added that Ramirez is into mobile gaming and music. She loves coffee and making it for her friends.
The two have only known each other for almost two years yet for Villaflores, the memories they have shared are authentic.
"Even though we’ve only known each other for almost 2 years, we had so many memories that we didn’t imagine sharing in this kind of situation.
The three of us (Frances, Khyla, and I) spent our first Christmas and New Year together here in Australia. As international students with no family to spend the holiday with, we only had one each other."
Ramirez was taking a Bachelor of Science in Health and was supposed to finish next year.
