Anthony Albanese muling nahalal bilang Punong Ministro ng Australia habang mananatili ang Labor sa mayorya ng gobyerno

Sa ikalawang termino, magsisilbing Punong Ministro ng Australia si Anthony Albanese matapos manalo sa pederal na halalan ngayong 2025 habang ang Labor ay magpapatuloy sa pamumuno na may mas malaking mayorya.

Sinabi ni Albanese sa kanyang mga tagasuporta sa Sydney na ang pagiging punong ministro ang pinakamalaking karangalan ng kanyang buhay.

"It is with a deep sense of humility and a profound sense of responsibility that the first thing that I do tonight is to say 'thank you' to the people of Australia for the chance to continue to serve the best nation on Earth," aniya.

"Today, the Australian people have voted for Australian values: for fairness, aspiration and opportunity for all.

"Australians have voted for a future that holds true to these values, a future built on everything that brings us together."

Magpapatuloy sa pamumuno ang Labor na may mas maraming puwesto sa parlamento matapos makakuha ng maraming boto sa iba't ibang estado.

Isa sa mga tagumpay ng Labor ay ang pagkatalo ni Opposition Leader Peter Dutton sa kanyang pwesto sa Dickson, Queensland.

Natalo siya kay Ali France ng Labor kaya’t ito ang unang pagkakataon na natalo ang isang lider ng oposisyon sa kanyang sariling pwesto sa pederal na halalan.

Tinanggap ni Dutton ang buong responsibilidad sa pagkatalo ng Koalisyon.

"We didn't do well enough during this campaign, that much is obvious tonight," saad niya.

"I've always wanted in public life for the best for our country and the best for every Australian.

"It's an historic occasion for the Labor Party, and we recognise that."

Isa sa mga pangako ni Albanese ay ang pagbibigay ng 5% na down payment para sa first-time buyers at pagpondo ng halagang $10 bilyon para makapagtayo ng 100,000 bagong bahay.

Naglaan din siya ng $8.5 bilyon para sa dagdag na 18 milyong subsidised general practitioner visits bawat taon bilang bahagi ng pag-aayos ng Medicare.

Nangako rin ang Labor ng $2.3 bilyon para sa household batteries na mag-iimbak ng solar power at ipinangako nilang tatapusin ang price gouging ng mga supermarket.
