Christelle Brua has become the first woman to be named best pastry chef in the world by the group Les grandes tables du monde. The 41-year-old has been with Parisian 3-Michelin starred restaurant since 2003.

On the Pré Catelan' website, you can read that « the desserts conceived of by Christelle Brua infuse magic into great classics like the Paris-Brest, the pear Belle-Hélène or the moist bitter cocoa tart ». Her favorite dessert is an apple in blown sugar with caramel ice ceam, cider and fizzy sugar.

"Christelle Brua has succeeded in creating a strong identity for herself, recognisable among thousands, that today inspires a whole generation of chefs," said David Sinapian, Les grandes tables du monde president, during a meeting of the association.
