The largest biscuit tower in France

The biscuit factory "La Chanteracoise" broke a new record by building a biscuit tower about 2.50 meters high. Two years ago, the same company had taken up the challenge of the biggest rusk.

The record occurred in Saint-Léon-sur-l'Islen in Dordogne.

Surprised bystanders were attracted by this giant tower made of these round and rectangular biscuits, the "langues de chat", which the employees of the biscuit factory "La Chanteracoise" created.

This biscuit factory had, in 2016, already made the largest rusk in the world, as reported by French radio France Bleu.
Three tests were necessary. "We have experimented with several techniques until we find the best," explains Benjamin engineer at the biscuit factory to France Bleu.

Sylvain Boucher, the CEO of the Chanteracoise explained to have used "several hundred" of "langues de chat" but does not want to reveal the exact number.

However, this record will not be homologated by the Guinness book.

Sylvain Boucher also does not know if the biscuit tower of 2.50 meters can be recognised as the largest in the world, "We searched the internet to see if there were precedents, we found nothing," he said to France Bleu.
