Swedish baking robot company Ankarsrum has used a computer to make the “perfect bread”, mashing up recipes from all over the world.
“With help from a computer and deep learning algorithms we’ve transformed flour and water to ones and zeros. In order to analyze and merge thousands of bread recipes from all over the world in the first global recipe ever made,” explains Ankasrum on its website.
“We call it The Bread of The World, and it belongs to everyone, regardless of nationality or cultural belonging.”
The recipe has been perfected by French baker Sébastien Boudet, the final result looking like slightly raised flatbread. “Everything from the tortilla, the baguette, rye bread… Everything has become one and the same bread,” says Boudet in a video.
The bread contains wheat, spelt and corn flour, rye kernels, flaxseed, cane sugar, butter, olive oil, salt, yeast and water.
You can see people making the bread with Sébastien Boudet here:
They describe it as “crunchy, but moist and soft”.
You can if you want to try it at home.
