The coalition negotiations in Austria have failed. The SPÖ, the ÖVP and NEOS wanted to prevent the winner of the National Council elections, namely the right-wing populist FPÖ, from providing the chancellor. Because FPÖ boss Herbert Kickl is very controversial. But now it looks as though Kickl could become chancellor after all.
