Written by Meg McNena and directed by Demetra Giannakopoulos, "Blood and Bone" play portrays the courage and sacrifice of Anzac, Greek and Cretan combatants and civilians, the women's struggles, and post-war Greek migration to Australia.
Inspired by interviews with 2/7th veterans captured on Crete, it highlights the importance of mateship to survive as people and nations.
The play, with artists from Greek and Australian backgrounds, fills the stage with multicultural friendship.
