The Association is in its 54th year of operation and is a pole of attraction for teachers of all levels of education in the state of Victoria. Its members teach in public and private schools, as well as in independent and community schools.
Among the Association's activities is the Greek Public Speaking Festival. This year is taking place on 30 June.
The president of the Association Despina Sarantis spoke to SBS Greek about the conference and the challenges the teachers of modern Greek are facing.
