Melbourne based digital agency, Intesols, has been awarded Small Business of the Year Award at the 2018 Indian Executive Club held in Melbourne.

The annual awards honour small to medium enterprises from the Indian community and this year Jitendra Bhansali beat more than 15 nominations for the award.

His digital agency develops websites and promotes them on the Google search engine for their clients which drives traffic and business to them.

From Student to winning an award

Jitendra Bhansali came to Australia 14 years ago on a student visa. He studied for an MSc (IT) at RMIT University in Melbourne and worked for several corporate businesses before starting his own venture.

Remembering his journey in Australia, Jitendra told SBS Gujarati: "I studied MSC (IT) and worked for a small digital agency in Melbourne. It helped me a lot and there I developed my skills in technology.
"I also worked in a leading corporate company for several years but it was not giving me satisfaction. I always wanted to start my own venture."
"In 2010, I registered my company and studied the market opportunities and future in this field for 2 years. Finally, in 2012, I launched my digital agency called Intesols," said Jitendra.

After six years in the business, the company now has 51 employees and has engaged over 450 customers across Australia.

Self-help group for networking

Jitendra and a few other businesses have come together to start a self-help group which has 30 members to-date. They share useful tips among themselves and give advice to new businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The workshop organized every month includes discussions and sharing of ideas for goal setting, sales and marketing.

Stick to your vision and work hard

"One should have a vision which can provide value to the community at large. Stick to your vision and work hard to achieve it." Jitendra said.

Based on his experiences in Australia Jitendra says every business has to pass through difficulties during the initial phase but a strong vision and can do attitude will bring success.
