Rami Usha, a former senior journalist in Israel, gives us a different perspective on the Israeli legal reforms, and argues that the reforms do not pose any risk to the democracy in Israel.

Rami Usha asserts that the protests that have been crippling Israel for months aren’t about the legal reforms per se but are merely a power struggle between the old elites and the majority of the voters, many of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

Rami reminds us that bitter inner conflicts were by and large responsible for the destruction of the First Temple and of the Second Temple, and that the current conflict threatens the very existence of Israel.
