Zohar Berchik is a therapist, a counsellor and a teacher. from Melbourne. Zohar talks about the unimaginable horrors inflicted by Hamas on the petrified citizens in the south of Israel on the 7th of October this year.

Zohar tells us about the emotional trauma associated with such horrors, which is acutely felt by all Israelis and Jews alike. Inconsolable grief as well as fear for one’s safety. Zohar refers to the regrettable wall of silence that many Jews face in the diaspora, when friends, colleagues and students fail to offer support and sympathy. Zohar suggests that tolerance of evil isn’t a virtue, the very opposite is the case.
