“In case of dissension, never dare to judge till you've heard the other side”

Jeremy Stowe-Lindner tells SBS Hebrew that even though we cannot always expect politicians, the media and others to support Israel and the Jewish community following the Hamas attack on 7 October, we should expect and demand minimal fairness and balance. This is why he decided to write a letter to Independent Kooyong MP Monique Ryan, who in her social media post referred only to the tragedy of the people of Gaza.

Jeremy also calls on the Jewish community to unite and support its own members as well as the shell-shocked people of Israel. He also suggests that school children should not be overly involved in Hasbara etc since that would expose them to the horrific graphic material that floods the social networks from all directions.

Jeremy Stowe-Lindner is the Principal of Bialik College, Melbourne.
Born and educated in the UK Jeremy was formerly the Headteacher of
JCoSS, the UK Jewish community’s first non-Orthodox high school.
