In the footsteps of 'Spinoza'

Avigail was born to a Haredi family in Jerusalem. Around age 14 she decided to move away from that world. She tells us about the trials and tribulations associated with that decision. Avigail had to leave her home, was abandoned by her family. She stayed with friends, with some generous people and so on, and worked to support herself from a very early age. Avigail points out that the state ought to offer far more support to young people who decided to shift from the Haredi world to the secular world.

Avigail figured out that her future was contingent on academic success. She enrolled in several schools and, by sheer determination, matriculated with flying colours, getting top marks in mathematics and English. Avigail volunteered to join the IDF and will soon join an elite unit in the IAF.
