Pnina’s daughter, Meirav Gary, is also an established artist and actress in her own right. She tells us about her mother who was born in Nahalal, the first Israeli Moshav. About the tragedy her mother endured - her fiance, Ali Ben-Zvi, and six of his friends, were murdered in March 1948 by a bunch of terrorists a few days before their wedding was due. Meirav also tells us about her mother volunteering to help young survivors in a D.P camp in Germany. And about a totally different formative experience, studying acting with Herbert Berghof and Lee Strasberg, before returning to Israel to become one of the leading ladies of theatre over there.
