Jorge was born in Brazil, learnt to play the cello in his small town and later on in an Israeli conservatorium. He played the cello in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for many years and also taught music.

Jorge neatly explains that the heavenly music composed by the greatest composers transcends any well known rules of composition, harmony etc. That a good orchestra recreates the magic each and every time it plays such music. Jorge also explains in what ways cellists such as Jacqueline du Pre are of a different league from the average player.

Finally, Jorge tells us that learning and playing music as a hobby is also beneficial to students and to adults alike; the beauty, the pleasure, the discipline and more.

We shall hear a short piece by Bach played by Jorge.
