Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stole hearts as the special guest at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
Crowds swooned when she made an entry at the Award Nights held at Melbourne Recital Centre on Friday night. Rai was awarded Excellence in Global Cinema at the awards night for her contribution to the Indian cinema.
On Saturday morning, Rai became the first woman to hoist the Indian National Flag at Federation Square in Melbourne for the Film Festival. She turned up in a sea-green outfit with her daughter Aaradhya dressed in white lehenga by her side.
The event was attended by thousands of her fans mainly from the Indian community living in Australia.
Aishwarya Rai mingled with crowds and took selfies with fan before delivering a speech that started with ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha, Hindustan Humara’.
