Melbourne-based Erin Watson-Lynn, who travelled to India with her 5-year-old daughter Philippa in February 2018, says her India holiday was memorable for more than one reason.
“Philippa and I visited many sites in New Delhi and Jaipur before we went to this really remote village in Rajasthan to attend a wedding at a palace,” she tells SBS Hindi.
“We had an incredible time. Philippa was thrilled to meet new people and make new connections. As a mother, I was happy that an entire new world opened up for her.

“India is full of colour and there’s so much happening. For a little child, to take in this new environment is a big learning experience. We had a great time.
“Philippa especially enjoyed making those special connections and soaked in the culture, putting henna on her hands and dressing up,” she says.
Ms Watson-Lynn and her daughter are among thousands of Australian tourists who have travelled to India in last 12 months, making it one of the top tourist destinations for Australian tourists.
