Indian students from New Delhi, Noida and Nashik schools have won study trips to Australian Universities.
These awards were presented recently to the winners of .
The competition attracted participation from students in grades 9 to 11 from over 325 schools across India.
says, “An objective of the A2OZ competition is to broaden the horizons of Indian students and expose them to new study options in Australia, particularly in fields that link to careers of the future.”
“The competition has provided a wonderful opportunity for Indian students to exhibit their creative talents. We congratulate all the winners and look forward to joining the Sponsoring Universities in welcoming them to Australia,” adds Leonie Muldoon.
The participating students developed short films on next generation fields of study in areas of growing career opportunities.
These areas include aerospace, construction management, earth sciences, nanotechnology and story-telling through dance.
The competition was jointly organised by the Australian Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade) and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
says, “This is the third edition of the competition and it is exciting to see the wealth of creative ideas and approaches, the five topics have brought out this year.”

These winners along with selected teachers from each of the winning schools will travel to Australia.
They will participate in an all-expenses paid study programme to the sponsoring Universities between May to July 2017.
Leonie Muldoon says: “We would like to invite more Indian students to study in Australia in courses where Australia is a world leader and this includes educational programmes in archeology, earth & marine sciences, mineral & mining engineering, environmental sciences, nursing, pharmacy & pharmacology and veterinary science.”
There are more than 60,000 Indian students as of December 2016 studying in Australia.
“Australia is also a significant international education destination for emerging or future careers in areas ranging from technology, digital, robotics, media & entertainment, scientific research, health, and future materials. These programmes will provide Indian students the foundation for a global career in areas of future employment growth”, adds Leonie Muldoon.
