SBS Radio’s Hindi language program is looking for a part-time Audio Content Producer

The Audio Content Producer will report to the Executive Producer, work closely with on-air presenters and the production team, and focus on growing Hindi language communities while expanding our on air and digital audience.

The Role

Based in either our Sydney or Melbourne offices, you will work across several different platforms, producing content (including news, current affairs, and community stories).

With a sound understanding of the Hindi-speaking community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities, as a producer, you will contribute to fostering audience engagement on-air and online.

The successful candidate is expected to undertake shift work which includes presenting on-air programs late in the evening and on weekends.

This part-time role is offered for 16 hours per week. Applicants must have full working rights, either Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

About you

  • The ability to research, write, produce, translate and present audio and digital content (including news, current affairs and community stories) on radio and/or online platforms.
  • Proficiency in speaking and typing in Hindi as well as English. Also, you will be comfortable participating in a language assessment task as part of our interview process. 
  • Demonstrated professional experience using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram would be an advantage.
Only residents based in Australia with working rights are eligible to apply however the role can be operated out of both Sydney or Melbourne Studios.

A background in journalism or broadcasting is highly desirable.
