Hospital staff at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire received a called about an orange bird which was found by a member of the public on a local highway.
When the hospital's veterinary team examined the bird, it turned out to be a seagull covered in turmeric.

"He had somehow gotten himself covered in curry or turmeric! It was all over his feathers, preventing him from flying properly. We have no idea how he got into this predicament, but thankfully, apart from the vibrant colour and pungent smell, he was healthy," the hospital said in the Facebook post.

The veterinary team bathed the gull to clean off his feathers and named him Vinny after a Vindaloo curry.

"He is now looking much better and should be able to go for release very soon! As we say, we never know what will come through our doors next!" the post read.

The Facebook post has been shared by over 900 times.
It's not the first time a bird has been found covered in curry.

In 2016, a seagull made headlines after falling into a container of curry sauce in Newport, South Wales in Britain. The seagull was taken to the Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre near Tewkesbury.

Social media users nicknamed him 'gullfrazie' after popular curry dish Jalfrezi.
