Declining voter turnout in remote communities: Will mobile polling boost participation?

Voter registration is at a record high, yet turnout has been decreasing since 2007, particularly in remote First Nations communities. Challenges like limited access to services and infrastructure persist. To address this, the Australian Electoral Commission is deploying mobile polling teams to boost participation ahead of the May 3 election.
