Even mild symptoms of COVID-19 can cause damage to the brain, according to a new study. It has been found that infected individuals suffered shrinkage of brain regions critical for smell, memory, cognitive function, and emotion. These findings have raised concerns about the short and long-term impacts the coronavirus may have.
