Condemning the violent attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi said she had felt a deep sense of peace in the region during her visit earlier this month, just days before the incident. Speaking from Melbourne, where she is currently visiting, Bedi — the first woman to join the Indian Police Service — stressed that "these attacks must now stop."
