President Joko Widodo claims that the handling of Covid-19 has been good enough for the government so far.

Jokowi, through a statement uploaded to the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account on Saturday, October 3, 2020, said "I can ensure that the handling of Covid-19 in Indonesia is not bad, even good enough. I am only talking about facts,"
According to Jokowi, compared to other large countries with large populations, Indonesia is much better at handling Covid-19. The cases of spread and death rates due to Covid-19 in Indonesia are still better than countries in the same category.

"If Indonesia is compared to a small country with a small population, of course such a comparison does not represent the real situation," said Jokowi.

Based on the latest data as of October 2, Indonesia was in 23rd position in regard to the level of positive cases of Covid-19 from all countries in the world with a total of 295,499 cases.

Several large countries with large populations have a much larger number of cases than Indonesia.

Based on the number of cases recorded on October 2:

     United States with 7,495,136 cases,
     India with 6,397,896 cases,
     Brazil with 4,849,229, and
     Russia with 1,194,643 cases.
