Referred to as the 'ambassador of the nation', PPIA UNSW once again succeeded in bringing the nuances of the Indonesian 'pasar malam' in Sydney and exploring memories through the 2023 Indonesian Night Market.

In its second year being held offline after being absent due to the COVID pandemic, the Indonesian Night Market was successfully held by the University of New South Wales' Indonesian Students Association of Australia (PPIA) on Friday.

The campus' Globe Lawn, which was packed with attendees, witnessed the success of the event which not only presented a series of Indonesian menus but also cultural performances.

Speaking to SBS Indonesian, the Indonesian Consul General for NSW, Queensland and South Australia Vedi Kurnia Buana said that with so many non-Indonesian visitors coming out, this event had a tremendous multiplier impact.
