ASF or Aisyah Sister Forum is a community that accommodates Indonesian Muslim students or dependents of their spouses who are students in Victoria.

Dilail Abimanyu had the opportunity to speak with Farah and Niken who are the administrators of the Brunswick branch of the ASF community. ASF itself has been established for more than five years.

The origin of ASF began with a study group called "Pengajian Aisyah". However, its members saw that this group could develop beyond just a study group.

Although this community is intended for Muslim students and dependents of students, in practice this community also accepts those who come as workers and those who already have temporary or permanent residence status.

The ASF community has routine activities such as religious studies to sharing sessions on various topics, one of which is preparing for live in Australia.

The members of the ASF community have increased rapidly, so that the community has difficulty carrying out activities centrally. therefore this group is divided based on suburbs.

Ahead of this year's Ramadan, ASF is planning several programs. One of them is online religious studies after sahur and volunteering for the night before Eid which takes place at the Indonesian mosque in Melbourne.
