Kratom: a special plant of Borneo origin that is banned for sale in Indonesia and Australia

The leaves of this Kratom plant, for hundreds of years were consumed by Dayak tribal peoples and have a number of privileged properties such as cannabis.


In Indonesia, especially in Borneo, it grows a special plant named Kratom. The leaves of this plant, for hundreds of years were consumed by the Dayak people.

Thesekratom leaves have a number of special properties.

Nowadayskratom is cultivated, and even exported, and becomes a beverage ingredient like tea.

Howeverin Indonesia there is a ban on consuming this kratom “tea”. So if you visit Pontianak, for example, will not find a serving of kratom drinks.

Thiscommodity has been exported massively in quantities of thousands of tons to the United States, Europe and a number of other regions.

Australiastill prohibits kratom consumption, as is Indonesia.
