Experts say dangers remain online - in a world known as the metaverse

Standards Australia has issued fresh warnings about other dangers online. But this time it's for something known as the Metaverse.


Research released on December 3 by Standards Australia showed two-thirds of metaverse users were under the age of 16.

Some of the most common examples of metaverse platforms they use include Roblox, Minecraft and Fortnite.

Standards Australia’s Kareen Riley-Takos said there was a perception bias between the popularity of these platforms among children, and the awareness among adults of what was involved.
