Radio will always have an important role in Australia

February 13 is celebrated as World Radio Day. The question that always arises is whether Radio can survive in the future?


Dr Paul Thomas, a historian affiliated with Deakin University discusses the development of radio, especially in Australia and Indonesia. According to him, radio still has an important role in the future. With advances in technology, radio has to adapt. In the Australian context, if a natural disaster occurs, radio with its simple equipment can even reach people in remote areas.
