The main element of this art is a lion head mask decorated with peacock feathers. The weight of this mask reaches 50 to 60 kilograms.
On June 29, Indonesian Diaspora Network Victoria or IDN VIC, held an event called Reog Ponorogo and Indonesian Street Preforming Arts 2024 which was held at Federation Square.

Apart from Reog, there were also several dance performances performed by several Indonesian art studios in Melbourne. Also, there was a gamelan music performance by the Melbourne Community Gamelan.
The President of IDN VIC, Mrs. Diana Pratiwi, felt grateful because the event continued smoothly even though the weather was not friendly.
Mrs. Diana explained to SBS Indonesian why Reog Ponorogo was the highlight of the event.
She explained that currently Ponorogo Regency, together with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, has nominated Reog Ponorogo as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage from UNESCO.
