A case of sexual harrasment perpetrated by a lecturer against a female student occurred at Sriwijaya University, Palembang, South Sumatra. The local police are currently handling this case, because the students dared to report the action.

The Ministry of Education and Culture itself has issued Permendikbud 30/2021 recently to respond to the high number of cases of sexual violence on campus in Indonesia.
