The audience who almost filled every seat in the ACMI Cinema Building were indeed not disappointed. They felt satisfied and proud of the work of this young Indonesian filmmaker.

As Olivia Denny Puspitasari, an Indonesian film enthusiast and observer, told SBS Indonesian, the film Perayaaan Mati Rasa is very relevant for young Indonesians. Especially those who are the eldest in the family. Where it seems like all their parents' hopes are on their shoulders. This is made worse by the vulnerability of communication within the family, so that the young people feel even more depressed.

Olivia also highlighted the acting and career of Umay Shihab who in this film, besides played the role as one of the main characters, he also directed and wrote the script. She said that as a filmmaker, Umay has a bright future which is not only because of his talent and perseverance but also because he has a very formidable support system.
