From traditional cooking utensils to authentic but modern menus, Chef Ayu Gayatri Kresna offers a different experience for those coming to her 'kitchen' in Singaraja, northern Bali.

SBS Indonesian had the opportunity to talk to Chef Ayu Gayatri Kresna from 'Pengalaman Rasa' in Singaraja, Bali, who is also one of the participants in the Ubud Food Festival 2022.

Chef Ayu said that Pengalaman Rasa presented an authentic babi guling presentation using Balinese pork at the event. She mentioned that the key to her cooking is the spices from their Museum Rempah, locally-sourced salt, also garlic which, although small in size, is second to none in terms of taste.

"I prefer to call Pengalaman Rasa as a kitchen, a kind of culinary lab," said Chef Ayu, explaining that they still use the traditional kitchen and cooking utensils.

What are their projects and what kind of experience can you have in their kitchen?
