Trade spat with China exposes divisions within Coalition

Escalating tensions between China and Australia has also brought up internal divisions within the Coalition, with a number of backbenchers accusing China of bullying and calling on the Government to stand up for Australia's sovereignty


Four abattoirs in Australia have now been banned from exporting beef to China, becoming the front line of what some fear could turn into a trade war.

But affected operators, said that it’s not the first time, so it’s not a surprise, and they know that China has some strict guidelines in labelling and health standard, and they are trying to remain hopeful.
