Trump's phone call with Zelenskyy was their first conversation since a meeting in the Oval Office turned into a mouth-fight last month [Feb 28].

The White House said Trump briefed Zelenskyy on his phone call with the Russian president a day earlier when the idea of a cease-fire on energy infrastructure was advocated - instead of a full 30-day cease-fire backed by the U.S. and Ukraine.

In a statement, Zelenskyy said that the talks on the phone were positive and very substantive.

Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of attacking energy infrastructure in the past 24 hours.
